This is a picture of the large sign that will greet guests to Kaxil Kiuic: The Helen Moyers Biocultural Reserve. It measures 4' X 20' and will be hung at the entrance of the reserve. It is made of Sapodilla (ironwood) and was crafted by a traditional Maya woodcarver. It took the artist many hours to complete and was crafted using techniques, tools, and materials of the ancient Maya!
